Club History/Introduction

The Futbol Club of Kentucky, known as FC Kentucky, is a nonprofit organization that was formed in 2003 to develop select soccer teams for youth.  The club is based in Winchester, KY but serves players from Clark, Montgomery, Bourbon, Mardison, Fayette and other surrounding counties.  Players who make the teams for FC Kentucky following tryouts each June are taught advanced soccer skills by the club's trained and certified coaches, compete against teams from across the state at a high level of competition and play in several tournaments in Kentucky and/or other states each Fall and Spring season.

Club Philosophy/Misison

The Mission of FC Kentucky is to instill a passion for soccer in young players.  The Club starts it's focus on teaching technique and fundamentals to younger age groups.  Then the Club's trained and certified coaches work on the tactical and mental aspects of the game as players develop.  The Club strives to make the game of soccer fun and rewarding for every player and their families.  Our coaches also build player confidence and self esteem through an emphasis on skill development, teamwork and postive sportsmanship at each step.  The Club makes every effort to provide an environment where players, coaches and families share positivie experiences and build bonds that will last the child's entire soccer career.  Your child's soccer skills and confidence will grow with each year as a player of Select Soccer with FC Kentucky, along with their ability to contribute to their teams, as they explore and learn how far soccer can take them.

Club Goals/Objectives

The goals of the Club are to:

  1. Train and develop highly skilled players;
  2. Provide opportunities for team, coach and family bonding; and
  3. Compete at the highest levels of Select Soccer in Kentucky and the region.
